Today is the last class for Bel 260 in this sem :( For today, Miss Zue had discussed past sem question with us. After we finished discuss all the question, suddenly Miss Zue makes a suprised! She bring a lot of snacks for us. At the end of the class, we, JCS1132C's students together with Miss Zue had a farewell party. We takes a lot of pictures together. Hopefully, Miss Zue will never forget about us after this.

For today's class we were back to grammar presentation again. Group that will be present are Syahira's group and Adli's group.

Syahira's group present about Simple Future Tense and Future Continuous Tense. After finish present, they had prepared a game for us. Even the game was simple but it was an interesting game. We must form 2 circles to play the game. The game was same like a musical chair, but for this game they will play a song and after the song stop, one person will be chosen to answer the question on the notepad. The two groups got the same mark, and then Syahira ask for a representative for each group to write a sentence about what they have presented. 


On the other hand, Adli's group present about Present Continuous Tense and Past Continuous Tense. This group had not prepared any game or questions because they had enough time.
Argumentative Essay

Today class is the replacement class for Friday last week class. For today class, Miss Zue had taught us about an argumentative essay. To write an introduction for argumentative essay, you must introduce the topic with general statement, state why it is important, state there is a difference of opinion about this topic and the thesis statement must state what your claim is and can include the “parts” of the argument you are going to state. The body paragraph was the same as the previous essay, but for the conclusion we must do the refutation and restate the main claim, present one or two general sentences, and provide a general warning of the consequences.

For today's class, we need to present our drug abuse essay that we had done it in a group last week. Seriously I feel very scared because Miss Zue's mood currently not okay. When my group's turn, thank god her mood a little bit okay than before. Fiuhhhh! As her taught us before, a good essay should have all this things :

Inference and Prediction

For today's lesson is making inference and prediction. As usual, Miss Zue will teach us first and then of course we will do some activities. My group members is Me, Aizureen, Farhah and Fidaiy. For this activities, Miss Zue gives two video clip which are Grenade-Bruno Mars and A walk to remember movie. Based on that two video clip, all groups need to discuss and make the inference and prediction. This is the example that my group had done and its kinda funny haha.


For your information, inference is what we can conclude for what we had been watched or read. In the other hand, prediction is when we need to predict what will be happen. It maybe from our experiences or we know by watching from the others.

Finally, today, we need to do the REAL LISTENING TEST -.- Honestly, the questions a little bit trickier. arghhh. But, i can answer it, alhamdulillah :) After we had done the listening test, again Miss Zur wants us to do practice again about speaking. For today, Aizureen's group had been chosen to do practice in front of us. Miss Zur also teach us how to interrupt in polite way during the speaking test.
Practise (Speaking Test)

For today class which is in Friday, we don't have grammar presentation but we had learnt about speaking test. Miss Zue divides us into several groups. My group member is Me, Aisyah,Atiqa and Fidaiy. For this sem speaking test, we had two part which are Part A and Part B. For Part A, we need to talk about point for two minutes without stop and no one can interrupt. After that, for Part B, we need to discuss about our previous point and can add up some point. We also can interrupt while other candidates talk.
Practise (Listening Test)

A week after Chinese New Year break, today, we had a practice for listening test. Same like last sem, we need to hear a voice from the audio that talks about the text. We had to identify which are the answer for the question that had been given to us. We must listen very carefully so that we didn't get the wrong information. Its a little bit hard if we can't understand about the text. but as we know, it is just a practice. We had time to understand and do more practice so that we can get better result for the listening test.

As we all had been waiting for a long time, today, midterm exam for Bel 260 has arrived haha. We need to do the comprehension and non-linear text. I used all the information that Miss Zue had taught me before this.
Quiz !!

Today we have writing quiz. Before we start the quiz, Miss Zue had divide us into five groups and each group have five members. My group members are Farhah, Me, Seha, Nad and Hasyimah. Then, she gave the question so we can discuss first before we decide which part that we want to write. I need to write about the key features number three. When we are writing the essay, we cannot discuss anymore about the answer. We have to wait for our turn to answer it.Then, the next person needs to continue to write the essay. Miss Zue had gives us time to finish it.

Today is a grammar day, the group that will be present for today is Hashima's and Atika's group. They present about simple present tense and simple past tense. Simple present tense is used when something is generally true; for a situation that we think is more or less permanent; for habits or things that we do regularly; the simple present tense talk about what happens in books, plays or films; in the first and the zero conditional; to talk about the future, when you are discussing; talk about the future, after word like “when, after, until, before, as soon as”; with some special verbs which we do not use in continuous tense. `Be’ verb does not combine with verb.
New Task (Non-Linear Text)

Today we all must present about the task which is non-linear text that Miss Zue had gave us the other day. All groups had done their own mistakes so we have to correct the mistakes that we had done. After that, Miss Zue ask us to gives the slide to the other groups, so they can make it as an example of how to write the non-linear text. My group needs to correct the assumption of key fixtures one, two and three. After finished do the correction, we need to give the soft copy to Syazz so she can print it out and give it to us.
Introduction & Taken

Today we all need to watch a movie which is Taken 1 that we can learn about human trafficking. We had watched the movie from the start until the end of the movie. In the movie we can see how they track a girl and make them to be a prostitute and sell them. The girl that becomes a prostitute had been given drugs. Based on the movie, Miss Zue gives us a task. The task is we have to write an introduction based on the movie.

Actually I didn't come to the class for today because I need to go to the JB :)

Today Miss Zu had taught about non-linear text again. Miss Zu had given a task that we need to present it next week on Tuesday. Today's night, we had a replacement class. For tonight, we have presentation about grammar. The group that present is Farah and Asmidah, and the other group is Fatin Izzati and Amirah. Farah and Asmidah present about present continuous and past continuous tense. 

The using of present continuous tense are to show an action being done at the moment; to show the process of doing a longer action which is in progress; to show a future action; and to show an action that is repeated many times (always, constantly, frequently). The using of past continuous tense are used when two action occurred at the same time, but one action began earlier and was in progress when the other action occurred; to mention something that happen at particular time or over period of time; and when one action happens followed by another action in the past. 

Fatin Izzati and Amirah present about present perfect tense and past perfect tense. Present perfect tense is used to express past action with no specific time indicated. Rule number one an action which took place in the past, the time of the action is unknown; an action which started in the past but it effect has continued until the present and will probably continue into the future; and repeated actions in the past. Rule number two are the affirmative; the negative; and the interrogative. Rule number three is time expressions (since, for, yet, recently/lately, already, just, until, now/up to now/so far, ever, etc.). Past perfect tense is used to describe an action which took place before another action in the past. Rule number one are two actions that happened in the past, the verb of the earlier action is in the past perfect, while the verb of the later action is in the simple past; an action that happened before a particular time in the past. Rule number two are the affirmative; the negative; and the interrogative. Rule number three is time expressions (before, after, as soon as, when, until and by the time).
"SBV" and Determiners

Like usual Friday is a grammar or presentation  day. Today the group that will be present is Saifudin's and Fidaiy's group. They had to present about Subject Verb Agreement and Determiners. 

Determiner is used in front of nouns to indicate whether you are referring to something specific or something of a particular type. Personal pronouns such as I, you, he and etc. and possessive cannot be determiners. 

Subject verb agreement must agree with one another in number (singular or plural). If the subject is singular the verb must be singular.
Fact and Opinion

Today we all learned about facts and opinions. Fact is objective information that can be checked or proved to be true. Fact also is information that does not change. Fact is not a statement about the future. There are a few clues that we can use to identify facts which are:

  • the use of dates and year
  • the use of statistics or figured or precise numbers or quantities
  • the use of definitions
  • when starting a geographical or scientific fact. 


Opinion is a statement that cannot be proved to be true or false. An opinion also one’s personal belief, idea, or feeling about a subject. Opinion can be a statement about the future. There are also have a few clue to identify opinion which are :

  • the use of adjectives which show your point of view or emotions
  • the use of comparison words which show a comparison between two or more things
  • the use of other words which show frequency, possibility, advisability and necessity
  • the use of phrase which show a belief, a suggestion, a feeling, or an opinion. 

After Miss Zuehas explained about the facts and opinions, she wants us to form a group. My group members are Farhah, Syazz, Seha, Fatin Izzati and also me. She gave us one product which is coconut milk and she wants us to promote about that product. We all must talk about a product and talk about the fact and opinion about the product. Then, the rest of the group will guess how many fact and opinion that the group has present.

Today is my group presentation. Me and my partner, Rahman had presented about articles, conjuctions and prepositions. I hope my classmates get a lot of knowledges after we finished presenting.Next, Aizureen and Farhah had presented about pronouns. Pronouns is the word that substitutes for a noun. After they finished presenting their slide, they do a little bit of exercises for us in the class.

Debate ?? Woahh like an interesting activity but it is the most activity that I hate since I was in school.But for today Miss Zue wants us to do debate in our class. Errmmmm. We need to divide into 4 groups which has 6 members for each groups. My group are.....actually I forgot who is my group -,- haha. Our topic is ' Is it considered cheating when your partner (girlfriend / boyfriend / husband / wife) was cheking on other beautiful girls / boys / men / women on Facebook (poking, liking, etc) ?. As a team, we work together to fight the other team.

Grammar,Grammar and Grammar

Today is the day for grammar presentation and it was Aisyah's and Shahindah's group turn to present grammar. Aisyah and Maizatul made a slide about Adjective and Shahindah and Azreen presented about Adverbs. We played game on the end of the both sessions and it was great because i can understand about Adjectives and Adverbs. I hope that the presentation can help me more about grammar.We really enjoyed their games :)
Main Idea

Today we had learnt about distinguishing main ideas and supporting details. Miss Zue had taught us how to find the main ideas in the paragraph. We had to read carefully the paragraph then we have to find which the supporting details so that we can know what it the main ideas. If we can detect which is the supporting details or not, it make easier to us to find the main idea. But there are also paragraph that won’t give us the main ideas straight forward. We had to read it and understand the paragraph to get the main idea. Then, we need to create our own sentence for the main idea but it must suitable with the paragraph. We cannot simply write without understand the paragraph.

As usual, every class must have an activity. For today activity, Miss Zue shows us two videos and wants us to find the main idea about the video. Before that, we need to make a group. So that we can discussed together with our group.

This is the first class of Bel 260 after the mid-sem break. Today Miss Zu wants us to do the acting activities. Okay, honestly I hate this activity and I don't know why -.- We had to act based on any of the P. Ramlee's movies. We need to divide into 5 groups. My group members are me, Syahiera, Asmida and Amira Izzati. We choose the Pendekar Bujang Lapok movie to re-act back.

Scanning & Skimming

Assalamualaikum.

Lesson for today is Reading Comprehension. We need to know all the techniques that we can use when we do the reading comprehension questions. The techniques are skimming and scanning. Skimming is the process of quickly identify the main ideas. There are some tips for us to do better skimming which are read the document or report-quickly, only the main point; read the first and the last paragraphs using headings, summaries; read the headings, sub-headings and illustration. When seeking a specific information, consider reading the first sentence of each paragraph and take note of any italicised or boldfaces word or phrases. Skimming works well for finding dates as well as names of people and places. It is also useful for reviewing graphs, tables and charts.

Next, scanning is a reading skill used to find specific information quickly. While contextual reference have four types that are rewording the main word, giving its synonym, giving its antonym and giving details.

After that, we had to divide into 4 groups because Miss Zu wants to do some activity about reading comprehension.
