This is the first class of Bel 260 after the mid-sem break.
Today Miss Zu wants us to do the acting activities. Okay, honestly I hate this
activity and I don't know why -.- We had to act based on any of the P. Ramlee's
movies. We need to divide into 5 groups. My group members are me, Syahiera, Asmida and Amira Izzati. We choose the Pendekar Bujang Lapok movie to re-act
back.

For this activity, actually we all can enhance our confident
level to talk infront of the other people and can show our hidden talent. It is
a good activity actually. Before we end our class, we need to choose the best
group performance, best actor and best actress. And the winner are, trolololol :p

Scanning & Skimming

Assalamualaikum.
Lesson for today is Reading Comprehension. We need to know all
the techniques that we can use when we do the reading comprehension questions.
The techniques are skimming and scanning. Skimming is the process of quickly
identify the main ideas. There are some tips for us to do better skimming which
are read the document or report-quickly, only the main point; read the first
and the last paragraphs using headings, summaries; read the headings,
sub-headings and illustration. When seeking a specific information, consider
reading the first sentence of each paragraph and take note of any italicised or
boldfaces word or phrases. Skimming works well for finding dates as well as
names of people and places. It is also useful for reviewing graphs, tables and
charts.
Next, scanning is a reading skill used to find specific
information quickly. While contextual reference have four types that are
rewording the main word, giving its synonym, giving its antonym and giving
details.
After that, we had to divide into 4 groups because Miss Zu
wants to do some activity about reading comprehension.

Introduction to Essay

Assalamualaikum.
Today we had a lesson about writing which is how to write the
introduction in essay. The introduction is the most important part in an essay
because we need to make a great introduction to attract people to read our
essay. For introduction, there are three elements that we need to know which
are the hook, transition and thesis statement. There are seven kind of hook
that we had learnt which are personal examples, quotations, facts or
statistics, rhetorical question, current events, contrast to the thesis
statement and definition.
Then, Miss Zu asked us to divide ourself into a group that have
3 person in each group. My group is me, Fidaiy and Saifuddin. The group leader
must take one of the type of hook that Miss Zu gave. We got the Fact topic. After that, Miss Zu gave a topic for us to write the
introduction based on the hook that we get. We started to write the
introduction based on the points that we had disscused together in our
group.

Wow !! That's Shocking

Today my lecturer wants to do some activity again. The name of
the activity is That's Shocking ! She wanted us to write four facts about
ourself which no one knows about it. After we all finished write about it, we
had to make an aeroplane using our paper. Then we had to fly the aeroplane to
the others and pick one aeroplane which is not ours. After that, Miss Zu wants
all of us to read the paper that we get one by one and we have to guess the
paper belongs to who. The activity was really shock, yeah I mean really really
shock because we didn't expect that our classmate has their bad habits or
anything.
Next, Miss Zu gives another task for us to do for grammar which
is Part of Speech. She divides us into several groups then she wants us to
present about our topic that she had gave. Well, my group which is with Rahman
has to present about Pronouns. We will do the presentation on Friday every
weeks.

The Next Activity

The next class is at BKSP which is Bilik Kuliah Seri Pegaga that
is at girl’s colleges at Sector B. For that class, Miss Zu already gives a
task on the previous class for us to find out four facts about our partner
which are three of it are true and one of it must be a lie. We have to ask our
partner about their life story or secret or anything else. Then in the class,
we have to tell it to our classmates about the facts and they must guess which
one of the facts is a lie.
After all of us already played the activity, our class is end.
Miss Zu also tell us that we might change our class to the nearest one because
BKSP is too far hoho. That’s all. :)
OUTDOOR ACTIVITY

For the second class that we had, our lecturer which is Miss Zu
let us to use the computer on the lab to create a blog to who doesn’t create it
yet. Fidaiy teach me how to create a new blog because I already forget how to
create since I had very long time didn’t use a blog. After all of us created
the blog she wanted us to go to the outside of the class to play some outdoor
activity.
To play the activity, she wants us to make two circles which are
a big circle and a small circle. I’m on the small circle and have to look at my
friend on the big circle. We have to introduce and tell them about ourself.
After one minute, we have to move one side and meet another friends and tell
them about ourself again. This activity makes us to improve our speaking since
we had a long time not to speak in English during our semester break. It is
also makes our relationship become more closer in our class.
That’s all that we had in the second class :)
